KeymasterTry the “Enable More Tag Protection” option from the settings menu of the plugin. See if that works for you.

KeymasterThank you. We have merged it. This will go out with the next release of the plugin.

KeymasterHi, Yes sure. If you tell me which line of the file, then I will have better context in terms of where you want this hook. Do it want it in the beginning of that function?
Alternatively, you can add a pull request with the hook to our following github repository (We generally always accept pull request for hooks):

KeymasterIf you already have a way to accept payment via WooCommerce with this local provider you are talking about then it could potentially work with our WooCommerce integration. Do you already have a setup whereby you sell your woocommerce products via this local provider?

KeymasterYou can try using the following integration with the WP Express Checkout plugin. That plugin has an option to accept a donation with a minimum amount and then you can connect that donation product to a membership level:

KeymasterI have reworked the form builder addon so it only sends the notification after the email activation. Originally it was sending at registration and then when the email is activated. I have sent you an update to check it out.
September 8, 2023 at 1:35 am in reply to: Reference to a certain page when the user is logged in #27150admin
KeymasterOne possible solution could be to edit the “views/loggedin.php” file and add a redirection there. I will try to add an action hook in that file for future.
The following page has a list of functions that may be useful in certain scenarios:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-miscellaneous-php-tweaks/Note: this requires some code customization (not simple) so this is beyond the scope of this free support forum. I don’t recommend trying to do the coding unless you are a developer.

KeymasterI have tested a registration and login using the following addon (the v2 captcha) on a WordPress 6.3 install. It works fine for me:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-and-google-recaptcha-integration/Do the following test to make sure that you don’t have another plugin that has gone outdated and causing a conflict:

KeymasterYou don’t need to edit the Stripe subscription (the payment configuration stuff). Instead, edit the membership level and then update the “Access Duration” field of the membership level to add couple of extra days there (as buffer). When you edit the membership level, it will be applicable to every user in that membership level.
You can use the following debug logging feature to monitor things for a few days after you make the changes. That will allow you to see if things are working as expected or not:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/enable-debug-logging/admin
KeymasterPlease be aware that the subscription payment process varies for different payment gateways. It is not feasible for us to develop a universally uniform subscription payment system that works seamlessly across all payment gateways without introducing extensive implementation within our plugin. As we aim to maintain a lightweight plugin, we avoid such heavy modifications.
Therefore, depending on your requirements and the capabilities of our plugin, there may be minor setup adjustments necessary to align with your specific needs.
with that said, the most consistent behavior will be the following when it comes to subscription payment setup:
The membership level’s “Access Duration” setup should be set to “No Expiry”. That means the account will be active until the subscription is cancelled. Our plugin will cancel the account when the subscription is cancelled or the payments stop coming in. As long as the subscription payments are coming in, the account will remain active. The following documentation has more details:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/what-happens-when-paypal-subscription-cancelled/If you are going to add a duration value in your membership level configuration then you have to allow 1 or 2 days extra so the payment notification can come in before the account is deactivated. Please read the following page fully which can be helpful to understand how the plugin’s membership level works:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/adding-membership-access-levels-site/admin
KeymasterPlease download a new version of the addon from the following page and let me know if that is better:
Note that this API addon hasn’t be polished up so it may contain bugs. Only use if you are a developer.

KeymasterI will try to add some extra debug logging entries to the API addon. So it can spit out more details as to what it is receiving. That might be helpful.

KeymasterHi, I will mark this one resolved for now. You can reply to it if you still see an issue.

KeymasterAdditionally, it is possible to personalize the number of recurring payment charge retries that Stripe attempts before deeming it a failure. By default, Stripe makes up to four attempts. However, you have the flexibility to modify this setting in your Stripe account preferences. If you prefer the subscription to be automatically terminated after a single failed payment attempt, you should be able to configure this option in your Stripe account’s “Manage failed payments” settings. You should find this setting at the following page your Stripe account:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automaticNote: Stripe makes changes to their interface frequently so this setting may have moved to another area.

KeymasterIf that payment keeps getting declined, Stripe will cancel the subscription. I am pretty sure Stripe will cancel a subscription automatically after up to four unsuccessful attempts to bill the customer.
So wait for Stripe to keep trying to charge that payment and ultimately fail or succeed. The fail outcome will deactivate the account, the success outcome will keep things going as usual.
It might be a good idea to seek clarification from Stripe, but based on my understanding, Stripe’s approach to handling this subscription is as follows: By default, they operate under the assumption that the charge will go through in one of the attempts. Therefore, they continue to display information indicating that everything is in order with the subscription, such as the next charge date and other relevant details. However, if the charge ultimately fails, the subscription will be canceled, rendering the displayed next payment date irrelevant.
If the subscription doesn’t get cancelled after a few repeat charge attempts then there is a problem and it needs to be looked at.
