I am writing this to ask the way to solve the system problem of Simple WP Membership Plug-in.

I am using Simple WP Membership plug-in to make a membership level every month.
However, it showed “Out of date” between July and August, even if it was still within the expiration period.

[My membership information](I checked this on August 28th, 2022 )
・Start date of access : 2022-7-29 it was the date when I have paid the membership fee.
・The expiration period: 2022-8-28 I guess that it is one day less than start date of access. I think that it should be August 29th,2022.
    ・Acount Status: Out of date

    [The Plug-in]
    ・Simple WP Membership ver 4.1.8
    ・WordPress ver 6.0.2

So, I would like to ask you why that was expired within the expiration period.
I would appreciate it if you could let me know the way to keep the plug-in the expiration period for one month period.

    Best regards,

I’m having trouble understanding what or why you are trying to do… Why can’t you have a membership level that only lasts 1 month?

    Thank you for your reply,

The membership that I manage is the type of paid subscribe per month, so I am currently requesting my members to pay per month by paypal.

I have been managing the membership site with monthly payment since last October, since then I am require my members to pay per month.

However, I found a happening that showed “”Out of date”” on my site between July and August, even if it was still within the expiration period.

Besides, I found the same situation again between August and September.

I would like to know why it is happening and how to solve the problem.

Also, I would like to fix it ASAP.

Thank you for your time and help.

    Best regards,

Please be aware that the subscription payment process varies for different payment gateways. It is not feasible for us to develop a universally uniform subscription payment system that works seamlessly across all payment gateways without introducing extensive implementation within our plugin. As we aim to maintain a lightweight plugin, we avoid such heavy modifications.

Therefore, depending on your requirements and the capabilities of our plugin, there may be minor setup adjustments necessary to align with your specific needs.

with that said, the most consistent behavior will be the following when it comes to subscription payment setup:

The membership level’s “Access Duration” setup should be set to “No Expiry”. That means the account will be active until the subscription is cancelled. Our plugin will cancel the account when the subscription is cancelled or the payments stop coming in. As long as the subscription payments are coming in, the account will remain active. The following documentation has more details:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/what-happens-when-paypal-subscription-cancelled/

If you are going to add a duration value in your membership level configuration then you have to allow 1 or 2 days extra so the payment notification can come in before the account is deactivated. Please read the following page fully which can be helpful to understand how the plugin’s membership level works:
