The most frequent reason for issues with Stripe subscription payment buttons often stems from an incomplete webhook configuration in your Stripe account. To ensure your webhooks are set up correctly, please consult the ‘Troubleshooting Section’ of our documentation. This section provides detailed steps to verify your webhook setup:

Are you using the new PayPal buttons that uses the new API (PayPal commerce platform)? Those will better for localization. I am referring to the following PayPal button option:

By default the plugin will create a WP User account when a SWPM member entry is created. Our plugin will generally use the profile page that is controlled and manage by our plugin. You can add a navigation menu in your site to send the user to the wp user profile page.

It will update your existing registration and profile form that the core plugin shows on the registration and profile edit pages.

As the admin of the site, you can do the following:

Communicate with that user and ask him/her if you can do the following:

#1) Generate a link to complete the registration for that member from the tools menu
#2) Use it yourself to complete the registration and let the member know that he/she can log into the site and adjust/update the email address.

We have added a new option for this. Check it out by going to the advanced settings menu and then enabling the following option:

Activate New Form and Validation Interface

Hi, The mailchimp addon currently doesn’t have this capability unfortunately. At the moment, the mailchimp addon listens to the registration submitted hook, and then it calls the mailchimp API. At some point, we will enhance the mailchimp addon in the future.

Hi, Yes, you can upgrade the Stripe API version. Stripe lets you roll back to your previous API version within 72 hours. So normally you would do the following:

    – Upgrade the Stripe API version from your Stripe account.
    – Do a test transaction with the plugin (Optionally, you can keep debug logging feature enabled for extra data).
    – Check to see if everything ran smoothly.
    – If not, you can roll back the Stripe API version.

Generally, if a Stripe API version has been out for lets say 2 months, it is safe to assume that latest version for the plugin can handle that.

That option is only available when the payment gateway supports it. The new API of PayPal doesn’t let you specify a button image. Those buttons work little bit different than a traditional PayPal button. The documentation here shows how it looks:

November 13, 2023 at 1:20 am in reply to: Open in new window not working for Stripe #27387

Some of these payment buttons are not a typical button/link that you can see on other parts of the site. That Stripe button can’t open in new window due to how the current code needs to run query in the current window then redirect to Stripe.

I will add an wishlist item to see if we can rework the code to offer this option there.

An alternative option might be to use the following Accept Stripe Payments plugin which has more advanced setup options for Stripe. You can then use the following feature to create a link (which you can open in a new window on click):
    https://s-plugins.com/using-a-text-link-instead-of-the-buy-now-button-shortcode/

That plugin can be integrated with Simple Membership:

For the free ones, we don’t have an option like that yet.

Hi, The most used addons are uploaded to wordpress.org so it can be upgraded from the admin dashboard. For example the following addon:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/configure-login-redirection-members/

Some of the small addons that are not used that much yet are not on wordpress.org. Maintaining a wordpress.org page requires a lot of effort so it is not worth doing that until the addon is used by many users. These ones you can download directly from our site. The process to update these are the following:

    1) Download the new addon
    2) Deactivate and delete the existing one from your site.
    3) Upload and activate the new one.

You don’t lose any settings configuration or data during this process so it is safe to do the above steps.

Let me know if this answers your question.

October 30, 2023 at 6:52 am in reply to: Woocommerce integrationj add-on: pricing and multiple product quantity #27347

Our membership plugin doesn’t factor in any quantity for the product. The product purchase gives access to a membership level to the customer. One product equals one member account (so the quantity is not a factor in our membership plugin ).

So our woocommerce addon won’t work for you unfortunately.

The pricing is for 1 year.

If your users are already registered meaning they have WP user accounts, then you can import them into Simple Membership using the following documentation:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/import-existing-wordpress-users-simple-membership-plugin/
