Registration form: Allow member to register or log-in

I am using a registration form for a specific membership. I need to allow clients to directly complete user and password and be registered in that specific membership (not creating a new account).
I need this because many of muy clients have already an account on my site, so they do not need to create a new user and password.
It is that possible?

Are they registered as SWPM members already?

If your users are already registered meaning they have WP user accounts, then you can import them into Simple Membership using the following documentation:
