KeymasterDoes it happen for all the users or that one particular user record? If you create a new user account for testing, does it happen to that new user?
Please show me a screenshot of the user’s row from the member’s interface (not the edit member’s interface)

KeymasterLooks like that member doesn’t have a member level attached to the profile which needs to be investigated first.
Go to the members menu in your admin dashboard. Search for this user’s record. Check the value in the “membership level” column. Is there a membership level set or is that column empty?
When a member account is created, there should always be a membership level. If the membership level column value is empty, then there is setup mistakes or conflict on the site and we need to investigate where that mistake or conflict is. So before I ask additional questions, I want to see if the member’s account has membership level attached or not.

KeymasterHi, with the form builder, you can create any checkboxes (for terms and conditions) that you want to create (that gives you greater flexibility in terms of exactly what checkboxes you want to display and where you want to show it on the form). Simply add a checkbox with that checkbox being a “required” field. So the user has to agree to it before they can complete the registration.
See the following screenshot for an example of how you can create a “terms and conditions” checkbox field

KeymasterThere is a history of how things started with our plugin and how it has evolved over time. There are also considerations to make in terms of maintenance of code, support requirements and such. So we should not get into an argument of which extensions/addons we should provide or not provide.
Kindly read the following carefully before utilizing our plugin as it elucidates certain aspects that you may not have considered before, potentially limiting your perspective:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/message-from-the-simple-membership-team/I am sorry to see that our plugin may not be the best fit for your project. I suggest considering an alternative option that may better cater to your current site’s requirements.

KeymasterWhen you enable the TOS feature, users cannot register without accepting it. So if someone has submitted the form, it means the TOS has been accepted (otherwise there is no way to proceed with the registration).
However, I do understand your particular requirement. At this stage, the only option would be to use our form builder add-on whereby you can create a “checkbox” type field with your custom text. You can make that a “required” field so a user has to check/agree to it before the registration form can be submitted. That field’s value will be saved with the profile. It will always be checked (since the user cannot continue without checking) but at least the profile will have that field shown as checked).

KeymasterIf a member renews/pays for membership before the account is expired, the “Access Starts” time is set to the end of the current term. This applies to “Expire After Access Duration” type of membership levels. So the plugin adds time to the end of the current membership term. This will ensure that the member does not lose any time for the existing term. Check the following two pages which explains how the different settings of membership level affect this behavior:

KeymasterThank you for confirming that.

KeymasterThank you for pointing this out. We made some changes to the main plugin in the new version which caused this addon to be outdated and have this bug.
I have just updated the code of the add-on that should resolve this. Please download an updated copy of the add-on from the following link and let me know if it works better for you.

KeymasterHi, The upgrade doesn’t do an admin notification at the moment. Normally, an upgrade would be associated with a payment. So the payments menu is a good place to check and see all the upgrades that are coming in. Also, if you want to monitor the upgrades for something for a short while, the following debug log file feature could be helpful:

KeymasterThis should be solved in the latest version of the plugin.

KeymasterOne other place you should check is the following settings of core WordPress. Some sites keep that enabled which can attract a lot of spam registrations as well. Our plugin doesn’t use that option so you should keep it disabled:

KeymasterThank you. I will apply a fix for this in the next release of the plugin. In the meantime, you can use the following copy of the plugin where I have already applied the fix:

KeymasterThank you. Okay, if you don’t use that option and the other Stripe plugin option is working fine then I will set it to resolved for now.

KeymasterWere you using the Accept Stripe payments plugin? If you were, please update the plugin. Let me know if that makes a difference.
