KeymasterI think you are trying to use a scenario that our plugin doesn’t support. Let me try to clarify:
If you are adding users manually from the admin interface, then there is no email activation required for those accounts. This is because when the site admin adds the users manually, it overrides any email activation settings. This ensures that the users added by the site admin can access their accounts immediately without needing to activate them through an email link:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/manually-adding-members-site/If you want to use email activation, the users must register themselves, so it goes through the standard steps. When users register on their own, they will receive an email with an activation link that they need to click to activate their account. This ensures that only users who confirm their email addresses can access their accounts. However, if you add users manually from the admin interface, email activation is bypassed, and those accounts are activated immediately:

KeymasterThis shortcode allows you to set a custom text if you want. The following section of the partial protection documentation has an example of how to do that:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/#using-a-custom-message-for-the-non-membersAlternatively, you can customize any standard text message displayed by the plugin using the following technique:

KeymasterHi, We don’t support that use case yet. We have an independent PayPal checkout integration option within our plugin that you can use for PayPal.

Keymaster#1) All free addons include a readme.txt file with details such as version numbers and change logs. We periodically review usage and upload popular free addons to WordPress.org. We try not to upload everything to WordPress.org, as many of these addons don’t see much usage and increase our maintenance workload.
#2) Paid addons come with one year of support and updates. If you are within this period, you will receive update notification emails from us. If you have not received notifications, it is likely that your support and update period has expired. We avoid sending nagging renewal or marketing emails. If you are having any issues with a paid addon, use the paid addon support ticket option and we should be able to provide more guidance.
#3) We are a small team dedicated to keeping this open-source project affordable and sustainable. Most of our users prefer low-cost solutions, and we continually strive to improve. However, we understand that our project may not meet all expectations. If you require features beyond our current capabilities, we recommend exploring alternative plugins to avoid any frustration.

KeymasterHi, The following error was added in our latest version to ensure no user profiles exist without a membership level assigned:
Error! This member profile does not have a valid membership level assigned. This check helps prevent issues caused by deleting a membership level without updating the member’s profile, which can lead to unexpected behaviors and errors without clear sources.
To resolve this error, please check the following on your site:
#1) Member Profiles: Ensure that all member profiles have a valid membership level attached. Correct any profiles missing this assignment.
#2) Addon Update: Download and install the latest version of the following addon to see if it resolves the error. Delete the currently installed copy of the addon before installing the new one.

KeymasterHi, I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing. This usually indicates a conflict or misconfiguration within the site, making it challenging to identify the exact cause without a detailed review of everything.
You may have specific requirements that our plugin doesn’t natively support, leading to potential cascading issues from a custom setup. While our plugin is versatile, it can’t accommodate every unique membership use case. Therefore, it might be more effective to switch to an alternative plugin that better suits your project’s needs.

KeymasterThank you. We will add a safeguard to the plugin. If no membership level is configured on the site, it will display an appropriate message to prevent this error.

KeymasterI checked the buttons now and they worked for me. Is there any particular sequence or event that makes it stop working?
I would like to review the debug log file to gather more details, as it can provide useful clues. This issue might be related to a conflict with another plugin on the site rather than a caching issue. Please use the contact form on the site to get in touch, and mention this forum post for reference.

KeymasterThe partial protection addon is also a free addon. The download link is available on this page:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/Can you please let me know where you saw that this is a paid addon? If there is an indication somewhere that this is a paid addon, it needs to be fixed/updated.

KeymasterDo you have any caching on the site? The following page is good to read:

KeymasterI have rolled back some of the profile update related changes that were introduced in the previous version. Let me know if the the newly released v4.4.8 works better for you.
If you need a download link for the older version 4.4.6 (before the profile update related improvements/changes), you can download it using the following link:

KeymasterI tested the Full Page Protection addon on PHP 8.1 and it worked for me. Can you make sure to download a fresh new copy fro the following page and use that:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/full-page-protection-addon-simple-membership/The addons can get outdated so the only way to figure this out will be to do the following test with the addons. You can deactivate and reactivate any of the Simple Membership addons without losing any data. So it is safe to do this test:

KeymasterTo create two payment buttons within the Simple Membership Plugin at different price points, follow these steps:
#1) Create Payment Buttons:
You can create as many different payment buttons with different price points for your membership levels as needed.#2) Create a Discounted Membership Level:
Set up a separate membership level called “Regular-Discounted.” This level can have the same content access as the “Regular” membership level. Having a second level allows you to identify users who paid the discounted price and set different expiry conditions for this discounted membership level.#3) Configure Membership Level and Payment Buttons:
Once you have your membership levels and the corresponding payment buttons configured, place the discounted payment button on a protected page or a password-protected page. This way, you can control who has access to the discounted payment button. The following page has general info on setting up a password-protected page
