The Simple Membership plugin comes with a Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy feature. This feature allows you to add a ‘Terms and Conditions‘ and a ‘Privacy Policy‘ to your Membership site. You can enable only one or both the options.
If you have enabled either of these options, your customers will need to agree to these before being able to sign up to a membership. The checkboxes and link to your terms and policy pages will appear just above the submit button on the registration page once this feature is enabled (see example below).
This feature is useful if you have conditions that you want the members to agree to before they can create a membership account. For instance, you may like to state that a member is not to share their account information with another user. Enabling a ‘Privacy Policy‘ allows you to state the manner in which you will be handling the customers private information.

Membership Registration with ‘Terms and Privacy Policy’ Enabled
Once you enable both of these features, two check boxes will appear at the bottom of the registration form. Your customer can click on the words ‘Terms and Conditions‘ to view your Terms and Conditions page. Clicking on the words ‘Privacy Policy‘ will take your customers to your ‘Privacy Policy‘ page. If you have enabled either ‘Terms and Conditions‘ or ‘Privacy Policy‘, the check boxes that relate to these become a mandatory part of the registration form. A customer cannot continue to register until they have marked the check boxes to agree to your terms and policies.
