KeymasterHi, The setup you are wanting to try will require a bit of manual intervention on an annual basis. So our plugin may not be the most suitable option. With that said, you could try the following:
#1) Every year when you create the membership level for the year, you will also create a temporary membership level (to assign users who pay for renewal before expiry for the following year). For this example, lets call this temporary membership level “Already renewed for next year”. Give this temporary level access to current year’s content.
#2) The renewal button can be connected to that following year’s temporary level that you create in step 1. So anyone renewing before expiry will get assigned to this “Already renewed for next year” level.
#3) At the start of the next year, when you create the new membership level for that year, you can do the following to switch all the members who already renewed to this new year’s membership.
Go to the “Members” menu then the “Bulk Operations” tab. Use the “Bulk Change Membership Level” feature to assign the “Already renewed for next year” members to the new year’s membership.
Let me know if that works.

KeymasterI will add a new filter hook in the plugin that should allow the minimum password length to be overridden on some sites.

KeymasterUsing recaptcha option should solve this. I think you are not using recaptcha due to GDPR related reasons. Have you checked out the recaptcha enterprise option? Their description says that it handles GDPR also.
We have an integration with recaptcha enterprise (if you wanted to try that option):

KeymasterBy default the plugin won’t lose settings data on deactivate and re-activate. Every-time you upgrade the plugin, it is a deactivate and re-activate (no one loses data in that process). There would have to be some kind of conflict or data loss that happened on this particular site:

KeymasterHi, That’s what that “Override bbPress User Profile URL” feature does. If you don’t want that feature, just disable/uncheck it.

KeymasterHi, We don’t have one yet unfortunately. We have it on our wishlist.

KeymasterI have given a reply to your question on this other support thread:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/manually-complete-a-user-registration-from-incomplete-to-complete/November 18, 2022 at 11:18 pm in reply to: Manually complete a user registration -> from incomplete to complete #24791admin
KeymasterYou have to first solve the main source of the conflict for that error to happen in the first place:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/503-error-when-trying-to-complete-registration/#post-24790Otherwise, you can’t really use this plugin with your server continually giving a 503 error due to some kind of conflict.
As an admin user, you can go to the “Settings -> Tools” menu and generate a new *unique link* for an unfinished profile. Use that special URL yourself to complete the registration.
Alternatively, you can delete that unfinished profile and then manually add a new member manually from the admin dashboard as explained on the following documentation:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/manually-adding-members-site/admin
KeymasterIt indicates a conflict on the server. You have to ask your hosting provider for the error log that will have details as to why the server is giving that error. The error log file of the server will have details/clues as to what specific action is creating the conflict.
Also, do the following test to make sure one of the other active plugins or theme isn’t creating a conflict:

KeymasterNo, that’s not the real cause of the overall high bounce rate. The registration page is just one page out of many pages on your site. The registration page doesn’t get that much traffic so it won’t contribute to your overall bounce rate. You can go through the bounce rate of each of your other posts and pages of the site and you will most likely notice that they all have a high bounce rate (for the site overall to have a high bounce rate).
You can deactivate the plugin or temporarily delete the registration page then observe your bounce rate to verify what I am saying.
November 11, 2022 at 11:06 pm in reply to: Fatal Error with SCA Compliant Stripe Subscription Button #24765admin
KeymasterThis normally happens due to a plugin or theme conflict. Please do the following test:

KeymasterThis will need code troubleshooting to get some clues.
The following function
swpm_load_templateis what loads the login.php template. You can add some “echo” statements or debug statements in that function to see if your customized login.php template has a typo or a path mismatch or something else that is preventing the loading:admin
KeymasterPlease upgrade the plugin to the latest version that should resolve this item.
