Typically, your visitors will signup for a membership account after reading your membership details and offers on the join us or landing page. However, you (the site admin) can also manually add members to your site via the “Members” interface located in the admin dashboard.

How to Manually Add Members
Do the following to manually add member records to your site:
- Click on the “Members” link from the Simple Membership Plugin’s admin menu.
- Click on the “Add New” button which will bring you to the “add new member” interface.
- Fill in the user details and hit the save button

You can view all the members from the “members” menu of the plugin.
Sending an Email Notification to the Member
You can optionally send a notification email to the member after you manually add the member via the admin dashboard.
Go to the Settings -> Email Settings menu of the plugin. Then enable the following option in there:
Send Email to Member When Added via Admin Dashboard
This will make it to where the member will receive a notification email after you add that user.
Hiding the Join Us Link
If you prefer to manually add users to your site and want to prevent visitors from seeing the ‘Join’ option on the front-end, the Hide Join Us Link feature is worth exploring.
Offering Free Memberships
If you’re manually adding members to provide free access, you can also allow users to register themselves for a free membership. Refer to this documentation to learn how to set up self-registration for free membership levels.
