WordPress Membership Plugin
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Custom Email Texts are lost after deactivation and reactivation of the Plugin
Due to the complexity of WordPress installations, it is not uncommon to deactivate and reactivate plugins for debugging reasons. Especially us Germans with our strict GDPR which can get really expensive if we don’t take care have to juggle a lot with cookie banners, in concert with several caching stages this makes you touch your installation quite often.
And simple membership is loosing data, especially the Emails. This is a real pain.
By default the plugin won’t lose settings data on deactivate and re-activate. Every-time you upgrade the plugin, it is a deactivate and re-activate (no one loses data in that process). There would have to be some kind of conflict or data loss that happened on this particular site:
