We have the core plugin plus Directory, Form Builder and bbPress addons.
The Directory is working well as is Form builder to add extra fields and you can click from the directory to a member’s info. So all good so far.
However, having added the bbPress addon and enabled “Override bbPress User Profile URL” we have a problem. Before doing this a click on the Author of a forum post took you to the bbPress info on that user, but having enabled it all the links from the Author name go to “Edit My Details” of the person logged in.
How do we fix this.
Hi, That’s what that “Override bbPress User Profile URL” feature does. If you don’t want that feature, just disable/uncheck it.
So you say it is correct that if I click on the name “John Smith” against his post it takes me to my details of “Bob Garrett”?
That does not seem right.
Are there any page caching plugins on your site?
No caching plugins.
I also now see that only Admin has a link for each name in a bbPress thread. For “normal” users they just see the name. Is this the expected behaviour?
All of the addons you have are eligible for Premium Addon Support. Please complete a support ticket, and a developer will get back to you:
