ModeratorThat was a typo… I meant SWPM.

ModeratorPlease turn on the debug logs. You mentioned clearing your cache. What caching plugin are you using?
Are you using the registration form of the core plugin or did you modify the registration form using the form builder addon?

ModeratorBecause that is a premium addon, you are entitled to receive premium addon support. Please open a support ticket, and a developer will contact you:

ModeratorWhat exactly do you mean by “on the backend” as opposed to the frontend? Can you provide any screenshots, of how you are using the shortcode and the resulting error; or lack of?

ModeratorIt is not possible, for members to share the same email address. The reason is that email addresses are used for the purpose of sending registration verifications and password resets. If multiple members shared the same email address, authentication issues would ensue.
With THAT said, there are special cases in which having an N:1 member to email address might be justified; such as when a parent wants to maintain control over accounts used by their children. Under those circumstances, here is a Gmail trick that accomplishes the same goal…
- Create a Gmail account; Family@gmail.com
- for sites that require unique email addresses, register family members using Gmail aliases:
Family+Mom@gmail.com
Family+Child1@gmail.com
family+Child2@gmail.com
Etc.
Any emails sent to different variations og Faimily@gmail.com will all end up in the same inbox. Use inbox filtering to route messages for the aliases to an appropriate folder.

ModeratorAs of SWPM 4.2.8 we removed the option to create new Smart checkout buttons as it has been deprecated by PayPal. You can get the same functionality from the new PayPal checkout buttons that have been added to the plugin.
– Note: All the existing paypal buttons will continue to work as usual. We have added the new PayPal buttons as per PayPal’s guidelines to make sure that in the future the plugin remains compatible with PayPal’s latest API.The Assurer
ModeratorThe developer will be notified.

ModeratorPlease turn on your SWPM debug logs. Without any debug logs, we’d only be guessing as to what the issue is. The page with the error message is not generated by SWPM; it is generated by Stripe. There was “something wrong” with the payment method used on Stripe; which could be any number of things; from bad or expired account numbers, to blocked cards. But since the error seems to have been issued by Stripe, it is between the purchaser and Stripe to resolve.

ModeratorThe issue is the granularity of page/content protection. Have you looked at maybe using forum software like bbPress, along with our bbPress integration addon?

ModeratorThe premium Form Builder addon will allow you to customize both the registration and profile forms. It will also allow you to make certain fields required or optional.
However, it will not check the validity of certain fields. For instance, nothing will prevent a member from using “123 Main Street, Epcot Center, FL” as a home address.

ModeratorSWPM is a tool, capable of doing many things; such as limiting content access to a limited set of members, when properly configured. With that said; please carefully read the documentation, to determine if the plugin is right for you:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-documentation/And because SWPM is open source code; we cannot make guarantees about the suitability of SWPM for any particular purpose.
As for search engine scraping of your site; it comes down to the proper configuration of your site, and it is your responsibility to ensure the site is properly configured. You might consider hiring someone to audit or ensure the site performs as you expect it to.
Regarding social platforms such as FB; outside of big data conspiracy theories, it comes down to how you set individual settings, which of course are your personal responsibility to configure.
If you have a more specific question about anything in the documentation, please feel free to inquire.

ModeratorWithout any debug logs; we’re kinda guessing. So…
➡️Please turn on the debug logs.
➡️Please make sure you have the latest plugin versions.
➡️Please perform this check, for conflicting plugins or themes:
