Moderator…installed WP Super Cache to caching plugins 😅
Did you remember to set it up according to these instructions?
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/wp-super-cache-compatibility-simple-membership/When the payment is done by Paypal and also Stripe the member is created with that email
Yes, that is how it’s supposed to work. The debug logs should confirm it.
Question: Do you have a PayPal Business account?
The Assurer
ModeratorThe first thing you must do, is turn on the SWPM debug logs. Without any debug logs, we’re just guessing.
Do you have any page caching plugins or server caching modules installed?
Is the member first signing up for a free account, and then upgrading to a paid account? Or do they first pay and then complete the registration process?
Buy Now or Subscription button?

ModeratorThanks for the response, but they won’t be clicking any buttons. This is for existing subscribed users whose subscription will automatically renew.
When the subscription is initially created; whatever payment processor (in this case Stripe), creates a “payment contract,” between the member and the payment processor; for a certain number of renewal terms, at a particular price.
You are “out of the loop” and cannot affect the payment contract price; unless either the number of subscription renewal terms runs out, or you unilaterally cancel the subscription on the Stripe end; forcing the member to resubscribe at the higher price, when the canceled subscription ends.
The reason why you cannot change the price of an existing payment contract has to do with tort law. You must either cancel it, or wait for it to run out.
Hopefully, your existing subscriptions have a fixed number of renewal terms…

ModeratorWhat changed about your site, the days or hours before the problem occurred? Was anything upgraded, or did you change hosting servers?
You should also go through this checklist:

ModeratorThe only difference between a subscription and renewal button, is that renewal buttons are presented to logged in members, and subscription buttons are presented to non-logged in members. If a logged in member clicks a button, the payment gateway knowes it is for a renewal.
So, simply increasing the subscription price for the button, should do what you want.

ModeratorSWPM only protects WordPress generated pages. It does not protect (PDF) files.

ModeratorI am having this issue, as some others on the forum, but mine in particular only appears when non logged users click on the button (Stripe SCA Subscription), whenever the admin or any other subscriber tries to use the button it works fine.
Is this button for a renewal or a new subscription?

ModeratorWhat happens when you disable that caching plugin? Does it work as expected?

ModeratorQuestions:
1. Are you trying to do the membership as a subscription that requires regular payments to keep it going, or as a non-expiring membership that requires 3 payments, but never expires?
2. Does the membership start with the first payment, or only after the third payment?
3. If they get access with the first payment, how do you envision enforcing the last 2 payments?

ModeratorCan you provide links to a screenshot of what the button is supposed to look like, and what it shows up as?
The Assurer
ModeratorI think you said… you want to offer a membership that requires 3 payments. Is that correct?
