You must redownload the addon and look at the PHP file. If you have the latest SWPM version, the addon should work. Also, for production environments, it is best to not fix anything that isn’t broken.
That message is coming from Stripe.

AI — Captcha v3 is over 6 years old. And that’s not all — per Wikipedia… “In October 2023, it was found that OpenAI’s GPT-4 chatbot could solve CAPTCHAs.”
Your best strategy is to charge a $1 registration fee, good for a discount on a paid membership. That’s what I would do.

You must directly query the table swpm_membership_tbl in the MySQL database. You can find the structure for this table in the file: classes/class.swpm-installation.php
Keeping in mind, there is a difference between a WordPress User and an SWPM Member, and that a person can belong to one or both pools; did you check to see if the email address is not in both WP User and SWPM Member pools of email addresses?
As stated in the referenced thread; there is no timeline for implementing this feature. Alternatively, you can request the developer to direct resources towards your request.
