ModeratorDid you set the MailChimp list names in the membership level settings?
Please check the following for your installation:
- Go to WP Admin → WP Membership → Membership Levels (or “Membership Levels” — whichever appears in your admin).
- Edit each membership level you want to subscribe to MailChimp.
- Look for a field labeled “MailChimp List Name” (or “MailChimp Audience/List Name”).
- Enter exactly the name of your MailChimp audience/list (or, if relevant, “ListName|group1,group2” syntax when using interest groups) per the addon documentation.
- Save / update the membership level.
- Then test — register a new member under that level and see if their email is added to your MailChimp list (or check plugin debug logs if activated).

ModeratorWhat specific situation do you require this kind of tag?
Would the Email Notification and Broadcast Addon be suitable for what you are looking for?
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-email-notification-broadcast-addon/Alternatively, you can extend SWPM by Use SWPM’s hooks / filters to add a custom merge tag that grab the user’s expiry date and inserts it into the email.

ModeratorIf the debug logs are turned on and you still see no log entries; then there is something external to the plugin going on. If a user clicks the link, their browser should open to a page on the site. Is this happening? Please verify by looking at the browser’s address bar.
