Reading this thread prompted me to check the version number of Google ReCaptcha that I have installed, and discovered that it was out of date.

You say that these add-ons don’t get picked up by WP plug-in update announcements. This means we could be unaware that there may be updates available. Could you come up with a system that lets us know when you have updated a Simple Membership add on plugin?

I thought that would be the case. I said at the very start that I have the profile showing in a sidebar, as my members like to see their details (especially the expiry date). When not logged in this offers the login boxes, and if they are filled in there then the redirection doesn’t work.

And yes, clicking on the login link within the protected page does work. So I will consider this matter closed.

I also meant to add, that if I had chosen a different sort, e.g. Membership Level, it also throws me out of that and puts things back int ID order.

I’m hoping all these little bits of information are helpful.

Thanks for sorting this out.

However, there is another oddity connected with this: in the Members listing, I select a grouping other than “All”, say “Active”, and there are 13,283 items, 1 of 266.

I then decide I want to look about halfway through, and rather than clicking the “Next Page” icon many times, I type “133” into the current page box.

Firstly I get the disconcerting message “Are you sure you want to perform this bulk operation on the selected entries?”. I backed out a few times, but decided to take the plunge and pressed “OK”.

This throws me out of the “Active” subset which I had selected, and puts me back into “All”. Admittedly it is on page 133, so that’s something.

These are minor niggles, but I still thought you’d like to know.

Yes, sezg, I’ve tried every combination of plugin activated/deactivated, covering all my 30 plugins. As a fallback I have specified a URL in the membership levels to an “After Login” page, which basically tells people to click on the browser “Back” button.

I have 30 plugins, also, five of them from Simple Membership, including Custom Messages. I deactivated Custom Messages but I don’t get your successful result. After login I am still taken to the HOME page, or to the page I specified in each of the Membership Levels.

Back to the drawing board for me.

If I remove the specified URL in the Membership Level, I get sent to my HOME page, not to the Last Page.

OF course, clicking on the browser Back button then takes you back to the last page, you are logged in, so you continue.

Hi,

I had done this, disabling all plugins except the two mentioned, but I did it again.

Whether Enable Redirection to the Last Page is selected or not, I get redirected to the URL I have specified in the Membership Level.

I don’t understand much about .htaccess, but the only recent change I made to this file is enable Hotlink Prevention of .pdf files using the host’s checkbox to do this. But this problem already existed before I had the Hotlink Prevention switched on.

I had carried out those steps before, but I did it again and I still get the same results with just Twenty-Twelve Theme and just the Simple Membership activated.

I’ll explain a different way:
Choose: WP Membership>Members
Result: 1 of 278 pages

Click on Next Page arrow
Result: 2 of 278 pages
So all good at this point

Start again:
Choose: WP Membership>Members
Result: 1 of 278 pages

Search on common name “Smith”
Result: 1 of 3 pages

Click on Next Page arrow
Result: 2 of 278 pages
This is wrong: it should be 2 of 3 pages

The same thing occurs when choosing WP Membership>Payments. So wherever there is a long list of items within Simple Membership, after making a subsearch which covers more than one page, clicking on the next page arrow forgets the subsearch results and, instead, shows you page 2 of the whole list.

This doesn’t happen outside of Simple Membership.
