I have recently added Stripe buttons to my pages, in addition to PayPal, and your system works very well indeed.
There is one addition I would like you to consider: At present, when someone pays using the Stripe buttons, they don’t appear to receive a receipt. The Stripe Dashboard shows that “No email receipt was sent – No email was given”. There is a “Send Receipt” link on the Stripe Dashboard which I have to manually click in order for all my payees to receive a receipt.
I see that there IS an email, but that it is in the “Name:” field on the Dashboard in the “Card” section. Is there a way you can access this to send a receipt automatically?
I contacted Stripe, and this was their response:
In order for your customer to receive an email receipt, you will need to add ‘receipt_email’ to your API code. Then you will need to insure that the email address that your customers supply also get added to this field, in order for the email to go out. If you would like to see how to set this up in more detail, I’ve added a link here:
https://support.stripe.com/questions/email-receipts
This is way over my head, so hope that you could look and see if you could help in any way.
Cheers,
JohnF
