In reply to: Payment button in Elementor Price table

Hi, unfortunately that might not work for you. The shortcode must be added to a post or page. I don’t think it will work i an elementor pricing table.

    Kind regards.

Created a new page – it appears that I can’t put 2 buttons on the same page as the same thing happened. Then, when I removed the 1st button, the 2nd button works fine. I had 2 buttons – one for expired members, using the partial protection :
    [swpm_protected visible_to=”expired” do_not_show_protected_msg=”1″ ]
    [swpm_payment_button id=2871 button_text=”Please Pay Here” class=”my-stripe-button”]
    [/swpm_protected]
then for the button which did NOT WORK, in the next section, this is what I had :
    [swpm_protected for=”5″ do_not_show_protected_msg=”1″]
    [swpm_payment_button id=4143 button_text=”Please Pay Here” class=”my-stripe-button”]
    [/swpm_protected]
As soon as I removed the shortcode for the ‘expired’ members, the 2nd button, for members level ‘5’ worked. I am inserting these using Elementor. Is there a different shortcode I can use to overcome this as I’d like to keep both options on the same page?

    Hi mbrsolution

    Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, that post does not really change or help anything, except to tell me that your plugin is only intended for non-page builders and just supporting the standard WordPress editor.

As I needed to not show any of the ACF fields which were scattered all over parts of the Elemnetor template the partial protection did not help.
I have ended up having to use the full protection addon – which does actually hide everything.
The only other issue with it though which makes it not as good as that I also wanted to keep the headers and footers so the warning msg showed between them and kept a consistent look for the website.
However, it seems that now the main Elementor code is not loaded as the header and footer appear slightly differently . This is because the Navigation widget in the Header is not loaded so any subitems on the menu no longer appear.
Also as I use the ThemeBuilder for Styles and CSS in Elementor these Global values are not loaded now so I have to add extra Custom CSS and also specifically code the colours other than using the Global colours I have already set up for the rest of the site.

So unfortunately what starts out as a good plugin with a high degree of reconfigurability for protection ends up being not really suitable for any site using ACF due to these constraints and limitations…

If the ACF shortfalls could be worked around it could become one of the best protection plugins available.

    Thanks

    Hi
I forgot to mention that I am using Elementor Templates but I don’t know whether they add ACF ‘properly’ or below the main Post body (as in your documentation at https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-content-protection/

    Thanks

    Hi mbrsolution,

Thank you for your response. As I said, I have already set this up. But when they are logged in and visit public pages such as bookings, they need to be able to get back to their ‘home page’.

At the moment I have created a work around by having one button for free membership home page and one for the paid membership. What I would like is to have one button that goes to their home page dependent on their membership.

I just wondered whether this was possible? Or could I set it so the ‘homepage button’ for the free membership plugin isn’t visible to the paid members?

    NB I use Elementor

Not sure if anyone has a solution to this. So I am looking to show members a particular homepage when they are logged in exclusive to their membership. I have set it up to automatically redirect but they need a way to get back to that page as it shows all their bookings and a link to their member area.

I have already tried the dynamic menu plugin but unfortunately this doesn’t work properly with Elementor (doesn’t work on mobiles) and so now I am back to square 1.

I am meant to be launching in a few days but can’t see how I can set it up so it is going to work. Has anyone come up with a solution?

I was wondering if there was a way of doing it using advanced custom fields? or by creating a role for each membership level and using that?

Topic: SM doen't recognize admin user & block full protected pages edition on Elementor

    Hello

I’m using Simple Membership Plugin (the latest version),the SWPM Partial Protection and the Full Page Proctection in combination with Elementor.
When I go on my website from my WordPress (as administrator), I can’t see any protected element (partial sections o full pages) as if I was an unconnected user.
Also, I can’t edit Elementor full protected pages. All I got was the Elementor error dialog saying “The preview could not be loaded”.

Why SWPM doesn’t recognize me as admin?
Should I create a user in SWPM with the same email address?
The risk here, and it’s happens to me once is delete my admin user from wordpress when I delete the SWPM user with the same email address.

    Thank you
    Pauline

Recently been receiving the error Fatal error! Payment with ref_id swpm_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
When attempting to use the Stripe SCA Payment button. Strangely, the button does work when I am editing the page through Elementor, but when I enter the page and use it normally it does not.

    Any help would be great.

    Hi

I’m relative new to WP (and PHP – using C# at work). I have a WordPress site using a combination of a theme, Elementor Pro and Simple Membership Plugin. I’m using the Full Page Protection add-on to protected pages only available to members.

Using Elementor I have created a custom header-design (template) that overrides the header-design created by the theme we are using. This is working perfectly except when the Full Page Protection kicks in. For some reason when if a non-member is trying to access a protected page, the page showing the not-allowed message is getting the theme header-design and not the Elementor header-design I have created. I have tried to find out where in Elementor to set this, but with no luck. So I’m down to that I maybe have to do some php coding. The problem is then where do I specify that I want to use my Elementor header-template and not the theme header-design when the Full Page Protection is visible?

    Thank you in advance

    Regards
    Arild

Hi, it does sound like an Elementor issue in version 2.5.2. I would contact the elementor developers and share this information with them. Let me know what they say.

    Kind regards
