Hello

We are using Simple Membership Plugin (the latest version) and the Full Page Proctection in combination with Elementor. Until now it’s been working great. But, after upgrading to Elementor 2.5.2 I was no longer able to edit Elementor pages. All I got was the Elementor error dialog saying “The preview could not be loaded”.

After digging around I found out that unchecking the “Handle Post Protection” and “Handle Page Protection” in the Full Page Protection Addon setting, I was able to open all my pages in Elementor.

Is this a bug in Elementor, Full Page Protection addon or something wrong on my installation?

Yes! So far, shortcodes seem to work, but since I use Elementor on several pages, the Full Page Protection is the only thing that works with that plugin. Hence why I was wondering why the Customization Messaging doesn’t appear with Full Page Protection. Perhaps it has to do with Elementor? Unfortunate there’s no integration. Will one be applied in the future, possibly?

I use Elementor and the content protection doesn’t work on those pages.

Are you referring to the following plugin? If you are, we currently don’t have an integration addon for that plugin unfortunately.

I made a test page without Elementor and compared it to a page with Elementor. The page that doesn’t use Elementor shows the customized message. So the Full Page Protection does not enable the Customized Messages, it would seem.

I’ve disable the add-on, but it’s difficult to tell whether it worked or not because I use Elementor and the content protection doesn’t work on those pages. I can use partial protection and Full Page protection with Elementor, but the typical content protection that requires me to say “Yes, Protect this page” doesn’t work. Also, the documentation, I’ve already read and it didn’t provide much towards a solution.

I have a plugin that has a form with the action set to admin-post.php with the corresponding add_action defined as is the normal way to handle a form in a plugin. When this form is submitted, I get the “The admin of this site does not allow users to access the wp dashboard” error generated by Simple Membership. If I deactivate SM, it processes the form correctly. The odd thing is on my staging site, with all Simple Membership settings set identically, the same form processes fine with Simple Membership active. Needless to say, this is a head-scratcher. Any ideas what would cause Simple Membership to block this form submission? All plugins are up to date. Using Elementor for most pages. Astra theme. Disabling plugins and changing themes on my live site is not an option. That’s why I have a staging site. But the two sites are behaving differently in this one case!
