ModeratorCurrently, such a capability does not exist, either in the base plugin or through any addon. Who would such an email go to; because usually, there would be no reason for anybody to know.

ModeratorPlease provide a live link, and exact instructions, on how to get to the page that has the button.

ModeratorFor the above image, what is the code that you used?

Moderator@Ulli — Are you using a CDN like Cloudflare? Also, does your nginx (server) error log contain any detail that covers the time frame of when the error occurred?

ModeratorHowever, when a customer registers or logs in, he/she is automatically redirected to the homepage, from which he/she has no way of accessing the customer portal page (as it is understandably hidden).
It looks like you have after-registration redirection setup correctly. The reason they went to the home page is because the auto-login is also turned on; which will redirect to the home page, unless you have after-login redirection configured.
Here is how you configure after-login redirection:

ModeratorIt only happens when the person is only registered with Simple Membership. It allows all logins when the user is both a simple Membership member AND registered with WordPress as a user.
That should not be happening; because going through the normal registration process, is supposed to also create a corresponding entry in the WP User tables.
How are the Simple only members being registered? Also, are members logging in with the WP User login form, or the SWPM login form?

ModeratorCurrently, it does not have that capability.

ModeratorLook in the views/loggin.php file. Anything beyond this “hint” is outside the scope of the free support forum, and requires paid support.

ModeratorAt this time, HTML email is not supported:

Moderator@rjadev — When the member registers, a registration completion link is emailed to the specified address. If the email address is “fake,” they never receive the link. If the address is “real,” they click the link, which has the effect of verifying the address.

ModeratorI want to display the logged-in user’s name and info on the front-end and I dont know how to make this work.
Can you do this using shortcodes instead?

ModeratorBecause I have users who have used their email address as their username (but in a different case) and they cannot login with their email address in lowercase…
Please give some examples; because whatever they use, is supposed to be case-insensitive to the system.

ModeratorNothing is impossible. Unfortunately, this is outside the scope of the free support forum; and I must refer you to the Paid Support side.

ModeratorBut when they go back to the home page (which they do if they followed a link) then they’re presented with their profile information and they dont know what to do.
Because they are already logged into the system.
Can this be done?
If not, I would prefer an elegant result for the user if they go back to the domain home page by accident.
Depending on “how complex” you made the individual home pages; you might consider a combined login/home page that uses partial content protection:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/- The first part of the page would display the login form, for anyone who is NOT logged in.
- Then, you’d use level-specific protection to display content that is particular to each level.
- Finally, you’d set the auto-redirects for each level to point back to the combined login/home page. That way, after the member logs in, the auto-redirection causes the combined login/home page to refresh!
Elegant enough for you?
