ParticipantI have Simple Membership Plugin and it works fine on every browser with the exception of Firefox.
It only happens when the person is only registered with Simple Membership. It allows all logins when the user is both a simple Membership member AND registered with WordPress as a user.
Login Page comes back with “Password Empty or Invalid” each time.
I’ve cleared caches, tried to disable all other plugins and it still keeps happening. Also has happened with other people outside of my office as well.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas as to how to fix this?
Thanks

ModeratorHi, that is very strange that you can login using other browser and not Firefox. Is your browser up to date?
In regards to the following.
It only happens when the person is only registered with Simple Membership. It allows all logins when the user is both a simple Membership member AND registered with WordPress as a user.
Can you further explain the above?
Can you also read through the following troubleshooting tips.
Thank you

That should not be happening; because going through the normal registration process, is supposed to also create a corresponding entry in the WP User tables.
How are the Simple only members being registered? Also, are members logging in with the WP User login form, or the SWPM login form?

ParticipantI did a bit more digging. I hadn’t realized the Plugin added to the user table (just went live yesterday).
When registering through Firefox, I am able to successfully register and then login.
However, when I create a user through the Simple Membership Plugin (via Add New), that user cannot be logged in through Firefox, but can log in via Chrome or IE or Safari.
The only difference was that when I checked the WordPress Users, every one of the registrations that came in from the browser registration was shown with a site role of “Participant”. The one I set up internally had the site role of the membership level I set up in Simple WordPress.

How many membership levels have you set up in your site? When you set up a membership level what WP User role is assigned to each membership level?
You might like to read the following documentation about manually adding members to your site.
Let me know how you go.
Regards
