ParticipantYes, I am inquiring about the product abilities before I purchase. Are you not able to answer questions 1-3 before I buy? Thanks
Ian B
ParticipantNo

ParticipantFollowing up here… I am still manually adjusting the start dates because the communication between Stripe subscription and SM is not working properly when a follow up payment is made to a subscription.

ParticipantI am currently having the same issue (not sure if I should start a new thread). The initial Stripe subscriptions went fine. Payments are made and people receive proper access for a month. Stripe is now processing the start of the 2nd month, but nothing updates in the Simple Membership side. Accounts go to expired status.
I have followed the help document and checked and rechecked every field. The only thing I did notice is that the Stripe customer ID does not match the SM subscriber ID. Not sure if they are supposed to be different or not (the first few characters are the same but not the rest).
Where else could I look for the problem source?
Ian B
ParticipantOk, thanks.

ParticipantIt’s still too easy though. It would be much better to at least ask for a re-verification of the password when clicking the update button. Seems like a minimal security measure to take when looking at the Profile page.

Participant“Enable this option if you want to collect customer address during Stripe checkout.”
I’m confused.. what exactly does checking that button do then? There was no address collected except for the payment address.
Ian B
ParticipantYes, that’s why I asked. Braintree seems to be able to accept recurring payments so maybe it’s something the devs just did not have time to add yet. Thanks for letting them know.

ParticipantAh thank you for that. I knew the wp-user was also created automatically but I didn’t know how interconnected they were. Wondering..if another plugin was able to block concurrent wp-users using a sessions cookie for example, do you think that would block concurrent SimMem users from seeing a restricted area as well?
In any case, I will test it out and see. Thanks
Ian B
ParticipantThanks for the quick answers. I did not test any concurrent login plugins. They would work with the logins of the regular wordpress access so I assumed that would not ‘connect’ with your since the membership is different list. I wanted to ask before I stated testing as I did not know the relationship between the wp-login list is and the Simple Membership list.
