ParticipantHi @Anna1226
Not really an answer for you, but a thought:
Either send an email to all your users to ‘register’ with you – explaining they can choose a username which they might prefer to their email address and give them the links to your registration pageor
import your user CSV file into WordPress (there are plugins to do this) and then use SimpleMembership addon to import WordPress members.

ParticipantHi midflint, I had the same problem logging in and narrowed it down to a wrongly entered password. As the user I requested a new password and followed that link, altered password, logged out and back in again and all was well.
Maybe the developers could, as some stage, isolate the error to display either ‘no user at that name’ or ‘wrong password’?

ParticipantThanks admin. May I ask the following related questions here:
- do you have any news on the bbpress integration
- are you considering using this for this forum?
- can you provide a list of topics based on the tags used in the various topics?
BTW I do like the simplicity of this plugin.

ParticipantDon, there are two Search boxes. The one you are seeing – right hand side is not the one to search the forum. You need to login, go to Support and Forum.
On the top there is the breadcrump trail eg
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin ›
Click on Forums and a search box appears. Use this for Forum searches.I agree for a forum it is pretty basic. I’d like to have categories that were shown, to group the topics. Maybe that’s why the developers are looking at integrating a forum (bbpress) which I saw in one of the questions.
Also there is no guidance on which tags are available to which one can add the topic.

ParticipantThanks Mbr – I was putting the css code in the wrong place – now it works. Thanks again

ParticipantApologies mbr for not quite understanding. I understand how to do this if I was writing the actual html code but cannot get this to work changing any CSS. Are you implying I can alter the html for the form? If so where please. Thanks

ParticipantApologies – hadn’t seen your reply. This is the link to the url
I have tried the following css .swpm-login-widget-form .swpm-text-field { height: 2em; } but cannot increase the height of the input field.Thank you

ParticipantPeter, your registration page isn’t set up properly. The documentation lists the mandatory pages that are created with the plugin. They have the word ‘membership’ in them and are in the Pages section. In addition they are also in the Settings for the plugin. Your site shows the Registration and join us page under the header navigation tab of Members.
There are instructions in the documentation on how to set up a paypal button which should help. I haven’t done this so I can’t help further. If you search the forums I think you’ll find some additional help there.SoMuch2Do
ParticipantI think the documentation – Importing Users section would answer this.

ParticipantFound the answer. Instead of using the suggested classes swpm-login-widget-form .register_link, I used swpm-login-form-register-link and set to display: none; which worked, on both widget and membership page.

ParticipantHave you seen the article under Advanced Tweaks – on CSS?

I think it might do what you want.SoMuch2Do
ParticipantThank you. 🙂

ParticipantSorry for the delay. I’ve been trying to reproduce problem but cannot. I think it may have been a problem with my cache or server etc – access was slow etc.
The profile now shows the S/M form.Is there a shortcode / tip for putting the ‘Logout’ in a menu? The system seems to remember the last entered user, even if the ‘remember me’ box is left unticked. (And I’m not using a cache plugin yet).
Thanks.
