ParticipantHi,
Sorry, I couldn’t answer earlier. Members were logged in when trying to renew their membership.
I really need a solution as I can’t make my members pay 45 euros again 🙁nunocruz
ParticipantHi,
I checked and one member with this kind of issue created a paypal account when paying the membership for the first time, so that can’t be the problem. I still don’t see what could have happened.
So now how I can “tell” paypal that it must charge 30 euros instead of 45 euros?

ParticipantHi Mbrsolution,
Sorry for answering so late.
I enabled Debug mode and everything seems to be a “success”.
There is only one Membership Level, so everyone belongs to that same level.
Not all the members have this issue, but at least 2.
In my case, I was sent from the button “renew” to a Paypal inscription page. How does the Simple Membership plugin (or Paypal) knows when it is an inscription and when it is a renewal?
I’m not sure anymore, but I think I payed my 45 euros inscription via the Paypal page but not via my Paypal account (inserting my visa card data). May this be the issue?nunocruz
ParticipantHi Mbrsolution,
Thank you for your reply.
I did create a renewal button [http://ensassociation.org/empty-nose-syndrome-international-association/membership-join/membership-registration/membership-renewal/] and I enabled “Expired Account Login”.
Some members successfully payed 30 euros for the renewal of their membership, so I don’t understand why it doesn’t work for others.

ParticipantWhat I want is for everyone that visits the website, not only members, to be able to subscribe the newsletter mailing list.

ParticipantIf that helps:
I do not have a free level, only a paid one.

ParticipantGreat, it works! Thank you for your help.

ParticipantHello MRB,
Thank you for your reply.

ParticipantI want my Default Account Status to be “On approval”, and there are some chances I refuse some member appliances. If the membership appliance is refused will the applier be reimbursed (as he already payed the membership fee via Paypal).

ParticipantHello MBR,
That’s what I tried and it seems to work.
I have a last and totally different question: if the member pays via paypal and finally we refuse the member after an approval period, is the member reimbursed from his payement?

ParticipantHello MBR,
Thank you for your reply.
You are correct, I’m not offering free membership. There is only one membership option.
I read the documentation you sent me.
The button must send the future member to a paypal page, not a registration one. As it is the case with the shortcode I posted above.
So how can I customize my “Subscribe Now” button?
If, as you said before, instead of that shortcode I use a normal button (which I could customize with my template’s look and feel), what is exactly the link I should provide to the button in order for it to work?
If I must use the shortcode, how can I customize it? Can I modify its CSS, perhaps?I hope I was clear.
Thanks,
Nunonunocruz
ParticipantHello,
Thanks for your reply!
If I understood well how Simple Membership works: Join Us -> Paypal -> Email -> Registration. Or maybe I’m wrong? This is the shortcode I have on the Join Us “Subscribe Now” button: [swpm_payment_button id=1265 ]
So it means that the link in the Join Us page would lead the customer/member to a Paypal page, not a registration one. So shall I give a paypal link to the button?
Thanks!
