ParticipantI really appreciate the help!

ParticipantI’ve used SMP on other sites, so I’m sure it’s not a problem with your plugin. I guess I was just hoping that there was a way around this. I have access to the theme files, so isn’t there some code I can insert to exclude a piece of content from getting locked?

ParticipantThey haven’t offered any solutions. Is there a shortcode or another way to “unlock” content?

ParticipantOk, last question: Do you know why we’re getting so many bogus spam accounts being set up, even with the captcha in place? Do you have any other suggestions for filtering those out?

ParticipantSo just to clarify, you’re saying that there’s no way to require the user to confirm their email address before becoming a member at the free level without the Form Builder plugin?

ParticipantSo far I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue, but I’ve had two users tell us that they received an “invalid username” error pop up while filling out the registration form (http://simplyjesusgathering.com/join/register). However, their registrations still went through. Not sure what caused the errors — I’ll keep trying to reproduce what these users saw and reach out if I can figure it out.

ParticipantHi SoMuch2Do, the problem our users experienced was actually while filling out the registration form for the first time, not while trying to login. An invalid username error was popping up, even while they were apparently entering a valid username (the only parameters I can tell is that the username be more than 4 characters).

ParticipantWill do. In the meantime, are there any requirements for either the username or password?

ParticipantAccording to the user, the rejected usernames were art@brosiusgolf.com and ArtB, but when I looked in the list of members, the registration was apparently successful, because “ArtB” was shown as a user. He’s on an HP laptop using Chrome. Is it possible to have an error thrown up but still have the registration go through?
I just enabled debug mode, so there’s nothing in the log file yet. I’ll send over if I get another other users reporting the same error. So far I’ve had two.
