My particular WordPress theme has a dedicated section in the theme editor for home page content (rather than a typical WordPress page), so this content section on our home page [faithcrco.org] – the “New Here?” and “Get Connected” blocks) becomes locked when I activate Simple WordPress Membership. Since it’s not a normal page, I don’t see a way to exclude this content from SWM. Is there another way?

They haven’t offered any solutions. Is there a shortcode or another way to “unlock” content?

Hi, I am afraid there is not much we can do. This sounds like a conflict between your theme and this plugin.

To verify my analysis can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fifteen or Sixteen. Can you report back.

I’ve used SMP on other sites, so I’m sure it’s not a problem with your plugin. I guess I was just hoping that there was a way around this. I have access to the theme files, so isn’t there some code I can insert to exclude a piece of content from getting locked?

I am not familiar with that theme at all. So I don’t know what they are doing really.
