I am working on a website that only has one page that requires access control. I am using Simple Membership with only one membership level and it is free. I am protecting a documents page that holds historical documents for our association. Only association members should have access. The rest of the site is open to the public. I have checked that page to provide protection and to only allow “owners” access to it. “Owners” is the membership classification. When a person clicks on the page link they are notified that they must log on. However, after a new user registers and their status is pending, waiting for approval and to be moved to an active status, they can still log in and gain access to the documents. What am I missing?
Hi,
However, after a new user registers and their status is pending, waiting for approval and to be moved to an active status, they can still log in and gain access to the documents. What am I missing?
Have you protected the page content correctly?
Please check the following documentation to learn more about content protection.
You can also check the following documentation which provides some content protection troubleshooting tips.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you
Thank you for your reply. I did check those settings again and I am still having the problem. After the new user registers, they receive the notice that they will be activated soon. But if they click on the protected page link, a Boldgrid sign-on page pops up. If they enter their username and password there all of the protected content is available. I don’t know where to go next.

Please carry out a plugin/theme conflict test.
