As I said, I did successfully load 500+ member records to WP Membership. And now I can maintain the database easily. However, it was a painful process and many users might give up before succeeding. Here’s some ideas to improve the process:

I see that one can load other WP databases with the CSV/DB tool but I have no interest in doing that. If the primary user need is to load members and products, it would be better to have 2 versions, one with the load choices specific to members and the other with load choices specific to products. Maybe a third for people who want to load other tables.

A member load specific version would have the member_tbl hardwired instead of a pulldown. The column names should be in a CSV file to be downloaded to be used as a template. The input CSV file to be loaded should be found via a directory search and then just press a button to upload.

Your documentation has two versions of the required column layouts for members. The correct one is the 31 column version.

The primary key dialog is totally confusing but the confusion goes away since member_tbl doesn’t need a primary key.

If the load fails, give meaningful error messages.

The column name account_state would be better as account_status.

Your links to your video takes me to: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-easily-import-or-export-any-of-your-wordpress-database-content-using-phpmyadmin-3415 which doesn’t help me since I don’t want to do any of that.

My final comment is to keep the interface simple such that it is self explanatory and doesn’t need documentation.

Your documentation has one csv layout with 25 columns and another with 31. Which is correct?

Remind me again. Am I supposed to using the 25 or 31 column csv layout?

Fields are the same and I am following the procedure. I get the same results on Win 10 and on my ChromeBox.

I note that after Upload the next page shows the csv file name at the top correctly but below it adds “-x” to the name where x is a sequential number that increments each time I upload. At no time does any file appear under the tab “From Computer” tab.

I have tried both browser and multi-file uploads. No difference.

No errors except the big red warning at the screen top that says the csv file was not found.

I tried from a Win 10 machine. I get the same result. The file name is displayed but nothing is saved anywhere.

    Yes and exactly.

I am using a ChromeBox and the CSV file is in my Download folder. Your dialog sees the file but cannot read it.

I have a 500 row member file with many columns in common with your DB structure. But the columns are in different order; e.g. my “Last Name” is in column 1, yours is in column 4.

Do I have to reorder my columns to match yours in the csv file? Or will your import accept the columns in my order?
