I had an email reply from developers re: my 1st question about adding 2 specific form builder custom fields to the /all-members page (directory) He says it’s not possible.

He also said re: my 2nd Q about search that it is a very limited search feature. He didn’t specify which fields it searches exactly but seems like this plugin and addons are not going to work for this website project.

    Thanks everyone for the assistance.

    Thanks for your reply.
I have read through the documentation you linked several times. I see instructions for adding individual fields of info from the default member’s details and I see the instructions for adding ALL custom fields. But that is not quite what I’m looking for. I want to ONLY add 2 of my custom fields member data to the members directory listings.

Thanks for submitting to the developers for the other piece.

Thanks I got it working. Not sure why it didn’t work before but this time I made sure to put the shortcode in an HTML block in my page builder with nothing else in it.

    Can someone help me?

Here is some more info from the event calendar about how and why there is a caching option – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/caching-month-view-html-in-transients/

Maybe that article could help us (you, me, devs at modern tribe) understand why the caching messes with your protection rules.

    Thoughts?

Yes I submitted a support ticket to them also.

Right I’m not sure why caching is even an option for an event calendar. I don’t remember ever enabling caching. Not sure if that was a new feature/setting and the default was enabled or what.

But it appears that the calendar is working/viewable by public now and not hidden/protected by the Simple Membership Plugin. The only thing I changed was disabling that cache. Does that seem likely to have been the issue? I’m not sure why that would have been related to whether or not the membership plugin would protect the content

The calendar page is an “archive” for event posts. Is there a way in the settings with SMP to ensure that this archive page is always public (not protected)?

I *think* I may have fixed it?
I unchecked “Enable the Month View Cache”
Can someone explain why that may have fixed it?

For anyone else who may have run into this issue – it is now resolved for me. Support team sent me an updated version of the form builder addon (4.8.2) and now the multiple-columns feature is working.

Thanks for the reply. I did that as a temp solution, however that causes another issue: The details of that field are showed on the member profile page to the public. Can I hide specific fields on the member profile page? Example: https://dascdoulas.org/member-info/?swpm_member_id=1198

Oh also, on the member directory page, the entries are not lining up evenly. Here is the link for a visual https://dascdoulas.org/all-members/

but the first 2 rows display 3 columns and then after that it’s messed up showing 1 per row every other row.

Hey Wemdens – did you get an answer to this? I have the same Q, would love if you were able to share any insights. Thank you

Trouble is, the plugins were purchased by the old web designer who is no longer involved with the site. Not sure what paypal email he used so I cannot fill out the form for submitting a ticket that way.
