simple membership should work with any authentication plugin that is able to log into wordpress. let me know which social plugin you are using.

every membership level has a role assigned to it. each member belonging to a level will have role assigned to that level.

simple membership plugin can import user from wordpress account using this addon https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-membership-wp-user-import/

if you can export users to a csv file from your old plugin then there is a possibility with one caveat, we don’t allow importing password due to security reason. new password has to be generated and emailed to the users.

in the upcoming version, there is an option in admin settings page where admin can choose what newly registered account status will be. by default its “Active” but if admin chooses “Pending” then admin will have to manually approve before newly registered user can login.
