    Here is what I would need:
    Registration is being sent to admin for approval. Once approved, member gets his username/password.
    I only found this:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/creating-private-membership-site/
    and it is not enough for our purposes.

    in the upcoming version, there is an option in admin settings page where admin can choose what newly registered account status will be. by default its “Active” but if admin chooses “Pending” then admin will have to manually approve before newly registered user can login.

    Thanks, something is not clear to me:

    The new member is being redirected to a page that says Registration Successful. Please login.
    Where can I edit that message?

    Trying to log in a message appears that the account is inactive.

    Logging into the admin panel, that account actually shows pending.
    The new member however gets a mail that the account is active.

    Is there a way to change that or the confirmation message, or am I missing an addon?

    Go to the email settings menu and you will be able to edit the email that gets sent to the member after they register.

    You can also customize the messages displayed by this plugin by customizing the translation file.

    Is there a way to have the account confirmation email sent once the admin changes it from pending to active?
    That would make the solution perfect.
