I checked the translation files but I could not find the chain “Forgot password”.

Do you know in which file I could override this English chain ?

Yes, I just forgot to tell you the language for which I need to translate this chain, I use French.

Can you check to make sure your po and mo files are updated? You can use PoEdit or Loco translate plugin.

What I can tell you is I have Version 3.9.7

The fact is I checked the PO file French Version. There are chains about passwords and even the one I need but the shortcode I use for the login, [swpm_login_form] displays all the chains in French except the “Forgot password ?”.

A bit strange for me 🙂

Can you make sure that the po and mo files in the following locations yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/languages/ and yoursite.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/ are the same.

Actually, the translation files were not in ‘yoursite.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/’.

So, I copied them in this folder, empty the cache and test. But I still have the “Forgot password ?”.

Well, maybe, there is something else to do.

Otherwise, I can surely wait for the next release. Do you know when it is available ?

I am not sure when the next release will be coming out. However you could also try a plugin / theme conflict test.

Also can you confirm your server is not running any cache system?

I wish this could have been a conflict with some add-on (I use some of yours), or the plugins I use, or even the theme (I use Divi).

But I really tried all these cases and it does not solve the case !

I have this “Forgot password” and too “I accept the terms and conditions” on the membership-registration page (forgot to indicate it 🙂 ).

Well… It is not the end of the world !! Many French guys yet understand

Brand new installation and still, 2 years after, 3 sentences not translated in French in this form:

– Username or Email => Identifiant ou email
– Show password => Voir le mot de passe
– Log in (button) => Se connecter

@eric101, this thread is very old. I checked those French strings in wordpress.org site and they are not translated or waiting to be approved. Unfortunately we have no control over the translations of our plugin into other languages other than English. I recommend that you translate those strings in your site using the following instructions.
