ParticipantDo you think you could be a little more specific? Using BBEdit’s multi-file search I’ve searched the entire ‘swpm-form-builder’ folder for the word ‘captcha’ and there are no results.

ParticipantHi there, well it caused the right sidebar to appear near the middle of the page, and it seemed to madke the text on the remainder of the page go red.
I’m using the Armada theme.
I still don’t know where “Security check: captcha validation failed” comes from, but I’ve temporarily fixed the layout problem by adding an extra closing div to /simple-membership/views/add.php

ParticipantWhoa, there is a Google Re-captcha add-on now? I was asking about this a mere 8 days ago and you suggested I look at All In One WP Security. All in One’s captcha didn’t work with SMWP’s registration form so I eventually gave up.
You guys really need an announcements page, or a blog, or something 🙂

Participant@mbrsolution Thanks for the reply but I really need a captcha solution (one that is more complicated than ‘type any two numbers’ 🙂 ). Unfortunately in my opinion blocking IP addresses isn’t a solution to this problem. The spam registrations are probably all from botnets anyway, so they’re all on domestic ADSL with regularly changing IPs.
@fabima Thanks very much for trying to help but I’m pretty sure that isn’t the cause. The registration page hasn’t changed since launch.PS You must all have amazing eyesight, because the fonts on this forum are ridiculously tiny.

ParticipantSo … I’ve installed All in One WP Security.
How do I make it insert the captcha on the SMWP registration form. The SWMP reg form is generated by the [swpm_registration_form] shortcode.

ParticipantIt’s actually not too bad now. In my situation the editors and admins don’t change very often, so using the plugin to import them into the Simple Membership user list is acceptable. I turned off the WP admin bar for subscribers and left it on for Admins and Editors, so it’s easier for them to know which account they are logged in as. I also added a bit of code to my theme so it displays the Simple Membership username and login status in the header.

ParticipantMuhaha, thanks for the suggestion. The shortcode in the widget does work (redirection included, yay). So I copied the code it generates and was able to remove the fields I don’t need. All good now!

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion i will look into it. However part of the problem is that Form builder only lets you make one registration form for some reason, so I would need to manually remove some of the less important form fields from the ‘quick reg’ version (in the quick reg version we only ask their name, email and password).

ParticipantWoohoo! That is much better, thanks for that!
The registration form at http://www.digitalhub.media/membership-join/membership-registration/ seems to be working properly now.
The Edit Profile form at ttp://www.digitalhub.media/membership-login/membership-profile/ is almost working properly. It does actually edit the profile correctly, but after clicking ‘Update’ it displays an old version of the form (it shows the version of the form that I had before I installed Form Builder). I have to click ‘account’ again to see the correct form.

ParticipantThanks for the reply.
If anyone else is reading this, note that there is an add-on available from these guys that will import your normal WP users into the Simple Membership user list. Don’t waste hours (like I did) before discovering this fact. Don’t rely on anyone here to mention it to you either 😉
