ParticipantTell the developers that hiding a full page is not the same as hiding a partial page section.
Also, it might be a good thing to update the Documentation since it’s misleading the way it is now.
I did a work around by replacing the Upload Form with a Link to a different page that now has the Upload Form.
I can now hide the Link along with the Comments Form.
Works perfectly.

ParticipantI just want to hide one of several sections on my page.
Your documentation says:
If you want to protect/hide a section (or sections) of a post/page then you can do that using the Simple Membership Partial Protection addon. This can be useful to create teaser content where the visitors can see part of a page content for free and the rest of the page is protected.
I just want to know how to physically place the shortcode to hide a section.
Better than a screen capture, go to the actual website page:
https://weisermemories.com/cms/photos/The lower yellow box with the photo upload should not be displayed unless logged in.
It is a section with a column inside and the Elementor Pro Form Widget inside of that.
Here is a screenshot of the yellow box being edited, with it’s section, column and form widget on display:
https://weisermemories.com/images/SectionSnip.pngI can’t find anyway to protect the section or just the Form Widget using your shortcode since it won’t allow me to place the shortcode anywhere that will work.

ParticipantI sent you a screen shot with a .png file and now it’s being held for moderation?

ParticipantThat’s not a good explanation – I know that part.
What I can’t figure out is how to actually add the shortcode to a section – the only ones I can add to are text editors – there is no way to add any text to a section that doesn’t have text editor.
I even tried to put a text editor above the section with the first part of the shortcode and one below with the last part of the shortcode but that doesn’t work.
Also tried with a shortcode widget but no luck.
It seems I can’t “simply” add the shortcode to a section.
What am I missing?
If you know how, then please tell me.

ParticipantThanks for the response.
I don’t want to hide the whole page – I only want to hide the Elementor Pro Form Widget which is a small part of the page.
I put the Form Widget into a Section – how do I hide just a Section on a Page?
When I looked at the Documentation for it – the code to use is shown but not how to actually hide the section using the code.
I went to:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/And found this:
Partial Protection for Anyone Who is Logged-in
If you want to just protect a section of a post or page for logged-in members (it doesn’t matter if the member’s account status is expired or not) then use the following shortcode:[swpm_protected visible_to=”logged_in_users_only”]
Whatever content goes here is only visible to anyone who is logged-into the SWPM system as a user (doesn’t matter if his account is expired or not).
[/swpm_protected]
But nothing on how to actually use the code on a Section to hide it.

ParticipantMy issue is gone for now I’m closing this topic.

ParticipantI may have fixed the issue – I turned off all the plugins except Membership and the issue was still there – I looked in Members and there was only one that was registered – one of my testing aliases, so I deleted that tester and the problem stopped.
I’m playing around with seeing if a registered tester interferes with my being logged into WordPress, as myself.
If I don’t see anything go wrong I’ll mark this as resolved.
Otherwise I’ll be back if it shows up again.
