Yeah, editing core of course is not a good idea. Thanks for info. I believe you could add this feature later. You already got “welcome email” options, so it’s good idea to have “reset password” here too 🙂 Cheers

    @mbrsolution

Thanks for helping me to solve this issue 🙂

When you register on simple membership user appears in WP users list aswell. So when user logged in as simple membership he is also logged in as wordpress user. That’s cool and ok and I don’t need that they would work together, but the thing is:

    Wordpress user:
    1. Logged in, close browser
    2. Open browser – user logged out automatically.

    Simple membership user:
    1. Logged in, close browser
    2. Open browser – user STILL logged in

SO basically here is my problem that simple membership user stays logged in forever until user press “logout” 🙂 So when i’m opening my browser again i can’t use wp function “logged in” anymore with simple membership user, because wp logged out user automatically, but it’s still logged in as plugin user 🙂

    The problem is:
F.e. user logs in a library 🙂 He forgot to log out and just closes browser. Next day some other reader opens my website and trying to log in, but he sees views/loggedin.php with that other user data 🙂

    My temporary solution is:
I have changed views/loggedin.php with text “Sorry someone forgot to logout. Please click Logout in order to continue. So it is workaround, however I don’t like this solution 🙂

I think the simple membership SEASON cookie at least needs to have some kind of expiration or something.

Thanks for checking it. it’s is logged in as simple membership user, but does it logged in as Wp user? for me when i’m closing browser and opening it again that user is logged out from wp, but still logged in as simple membership user. That’s the problem 🙂 What i want is to have logged in user both as wp and simple membership on browser open or both logged out 🙂

So in this case <?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) { … } ?> doesn’t work as that user is logged out from wp, but logged in as simple membership user.

    Thanks for replies 🙂

: No i don’t have cache plugin. On some pages i’m using standart wp function <?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) { … } ?> . However in this case if i’m closing browser window and opening it again it is logged out from wp, but still logged in to simple membership.

: Not sure how it is related to my problem 🙂 i’m not using cache plugin and i’m not sure how “password change” part will solve my problem 🙂
