Solved – This is what happened… the first site member (me) was not “copied” into the USERS database. I did that manually and now have “contributor” role. Thwe second member was copied to the USERS automatically.

No the issue is back. When registering and entering a date via the “picker” the year is double entered.

My mistake…kind of. The “FORMAT” for a date is filled as mm/dd/yy but iwanted mm/dd/yyyy so I changed it. DON’T do that. It will double enter a 4 digit year if you do!! Gee Wiz.. who woulda thunk it?

That works for NEW members but not after the first RENEWAL. I do not believe Mailchimp is provided an “updated” start date. If fact I don’t think MailChimp is provided any data since the email address is not new.

Also, after a membership renewal payment, the member should gets a link to complete registration and the registration data should be automatically filled in from the database (including custom form fields).

Thank You. This part now works as expected. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner.

Yes I can’t get much clearer. I can unprotect the page and just not have it accessible via menus but it would still be accessible via a direct link. That way the renewal page can be accessed from the email link and the user can renew… but that is not how it is described in the documentation.

    Used these instructions https://simple-membership-plugin.com/?s=renew

Step 2 says “This option will allow the users to log into the system even if their account has expired. They won’t be able to view any protected or restricted content.”

and-“Step 5) Protect/hide this “Membership Renewal” page so members are required to log into the site before making the payment.”

So an expired user login goes to a protected page and gets a message to with a link to the Renewal page OK

User clicks on link goes to renewal page but because it is protected (Step 2) he gets a message to go to renewal page!!!

PHP is Version 5. Including PHP version required in documentation would be helpful.
