Hello I am testing my website in the sand box: http://lifedrawingmodels.ca/

I have a problem, when a user registers here: http://lifedrawingmodels.ca/membership-join/
They get the confirmation email, and the link is working, but then when they complete the form with a password, name, last name etc…. It does not confirm their membership on my website and the page just reload itself to an empty form.

    Here is a confirmation link I tried : http://lifedrawingmodels.ca/membership-join/membership-registration/?member_id=4&code=e289f14a6895dded5aa6589706800457

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks
    Sandrine

Hi, can you carry out a live test “not sandbox test”. I am sure that it will work in live mode. Sandbox testing can sometimes be tricky if you don’t set it up correctly.

    Kind regards

I am having a similar problem and I AM LIVE. If they click on the registration link on the email or I send it to them, they can choose a username and a password but when they hit submit, it takes them right back to the registration page like it never happened. Interestingly enough, a few folks do just fine, but others do not. I have had to delete their account and add them as a new member for it to work. How do I fix this?

Hi @kristihugs, you say that it works for some but not others. What e-mail addresses are used for the ones that don’t work?

Do you have a cache plugin installed in your site? You might also like to try the following troubleshooting steps.

its not an email issue, is it? they can get to the registration page that is linked in the email. It is only when they choose a user name and password and click to register that it does not register. It sends them back to the registration page again. The choose a user name and password, click to register and it sends them back to the registration page again. Never completes the process.

I have had folks with gmail emails work fine and others won’t work. Some are aol, others are .com There is no rhyme or reason to it

Can you enable Debug mode and carry out a test by registering a test user. Then check the log file and report back.

You also mentioned the following. In which state did the e-mail not work when they registered or when you sent the e-mail to them? I assume that sending the e-mail to them is because you created the membership manually.

If they click on the registration link on the email or I send it to them,

    Hello, I am back 🙂
My website is live and I still have the same issue as kristihugs:

I made a test with my own credit card
Received the confirmation email with the activation link
When I paste the link (in a different browser) and enter the info (password, name, etc…) the page reloads to the same empty form and nothing happens.

I did enable the debug mode:

could it be adblock? if they have adblock turned on it will not complete the process? I have had 6 people that I had to manually add because the registration would not complete but I had another 5 people that had no trouble at all!

I don’t have ad block and I tried the activation form on 3 different browsers with the same result (Chrome, Internet explorer and Edge).
Does it work for you if you click on the confirmation link and fill out the form?

    Thanks

Hi, are any of you using the Form Builder addon?

If you are not, can you check your settings under Settings -> Email Settings. What are your current e-mail settings?

    Thank you

Hi, can you disable and delete the plugin. Then install a fresh new copy and carry out a test. This sometimes fixes issues like yours.

    Thank you

if we disable and delete, won’t we lose ALL of our settings and the people that have subscribed?
