We will be adding an option to add a checkbox to accept terms and privacy policy to the registration page. This will be released very soon.

The new version has been released with this feature. You can find an option to show the terms and privacy policy in the advanced settings menu of the plugin. When enabled, the users are required to agree to those before they can register for an account.

You can modify your registration scenario to use the following method so a user registration is the first step (before any payment or anything else is collected):

I have updated the plugin to the latest version, I can see the GDPR options in the Advanced settings. I checked the Privacy Policy option and entered the url. But nothing happens on the registration form. I use the form builder addon.

I have the same issue as Ronald. I am using the Form Builder addon (Version 4.5.8) together with Simple Membership (Version 3.7.7).
The checkbox for the Privacy Policy doesn’t show up in the frontend. It is activated in the backend but nothing happens.
Should this problem already be fixed? I have the latest versions installed but it doesn’t work.

Hi Alex, click on the following URL re-download-the-purchased-addons to download the latest version of Form Builder Addon.

The Form Builder addon already lets you create customized checkboxes with whatever text you
want to use. Then you can make that checkbox required so users have to check it before they can complete the registration form.
