STRATO and PayPal not working

Hello,

is there anyone here who has STRATO as hosting provider (germany) and uses PayPal Buy Now? I’m having trouble getting this constellation to work and wanted to ask if anyone can help me (find the right settings).

Hi, I already read the documentation and had contact to the support. They say it’s a conflict with the server. Strato ist one of the best known hosting services in germany. Maybe someone had the same problem or no problem with them.
Anyone?

Hello, thank yout very much for the link. It helped!!!

I found a website where someone wrote that the error
[2021/09/14 14:46:44] – FAILURE: Error! Failed to insert a new member record. This request will fail.
comes from the wrong PayPal IPN Message Setting (it has to be UTF-8).

You link above took me to the page with the link I needed. And now it works!!!

So for all others who have the same problem:
1. Log in at PayPal.
2. Click on this link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/customerprofileweb?cmd=_profile-language-encoding
3. Click on “further options”
4. Change Coding to “UTF-8”

That’s it.
