"Register for an Account Before Payment" problem

I’ve followed the direction you have listed for “Register for an Account Before Payment” located here: https://simple-membership-plugin.com/allowing-members-create-account-prior-completing-membership-payment/

However, when the “registered” user logins for the first time (to get the “pay now” button), The user see the following instead :

The admin of this site does not allow users to access the wp dashboard.
Go back to the home page by clicking here.

I do have the Simple Membership options “Hide Adminbar” and “Disable Access to WP Dashboard” both enabled. I cna also confirm that I have added the “Simple Membership After Login Redirection” plugin installed, enabled and set correctly for the membership level.

Any ideas?

What happens when you disable the “Disable Access to WP Dashboard” setting?

If I disable “Disable Access to WP Dashboard”, it takes me to the WP dashboard. This is not what I am expecting.

The user, is part of the “Registration for Paid Membership” level.
The “Registration for Paid Membership” level has the “After Login Redirection Page” URL set to the page that has the Membership payment setup. I expect that when the user logs in, it should direct them to the Membership payment page, not the WP dashboard page. Correct?

Figured it out.

By default new accounts were set to “Pending” status, not “Active”. Changing the account from Pending to Active resolved this. Don’t know how you want to document this in your article 🙂
