ParticipantHi
I got SWMP to work just fine, including the reCAPTCHA plugin, recently (during August 2020). Then our hosting was moved to a new server environment last week (27th August). I don’t know what changed, but now if I have reCAPTCHA activated, the login page locks up and after the site timeout the validation has failed. Login works just fine without reCAPTCHA.So I’ll probably have to give up on it if the problem can’t be solved.
I’ve looked everywhere and cannot understand what has changed . I’m no longer sure whether the upgrade to WP 5.5 happened with the move to the new environment, but it could be, if that is relevant.
I don’t find any obvious errors in the logs either.
What could be going wrong?
Thanks for any help
David

ModeratorHi, have you tried to reinstall the reCAPTCHA plugin?
If the above does not help, try the following troubleshooting steps https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/test-for-plugin-and-theme-conflict-before-posting-an-issue-or-a-bug/.
Also can you share your new server specs?
Thank you

KeymasterIt’s working fine for me.
Do you have any JavaScript error on the site? Some plugins (with outdated JavaScript code) has stopped working on WP5.5 which can cause a cascading effect with other things using JavaScript. The Captcha uses JS so that could be one factor. I can’t think of anything else.

ParticipantChrome reported the following messages when the login was blocked:
[Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took NNms [Violation] 'requestIdleCallBack' handler took XXXms. – several times (5, 6, or even 7 times)When the reCaptcha facility was turned off, there were no errors in the Console.
Can anyone suggest anything?Help, David

ParticipantI’m still wondering whether there will ever be an answer to this ppoint. I turned off the CAPTCHA check and things are working just fine. If I turn it on, then the site fails.
What should I do?
