I’m trying to protect the main blog page on my website as well as protect the categories.
I have set a page to be used as the blog archive, then in the settings of the page at the bottom i have checked the radio box to say “Yes, protect this content” and then ticked the checkbox for the membership level.
When i visit the blog archive it is not restricted.
The posts are restricted (followed the same instructions for protecting posts) and as a non logged-in user I get the “need to login to view” message as expected.
In the settings of the plugin I also attempted to restrict my categories. But again when visiting the categories in the front end as a non logged-in user the categories are not protected.
When searching this forum i see a post from 2016 and the person had exactly the same issue – the blog archive page was not being protected despite setting the restirctions in the page directly. I didn’t see a solution appearing in that thread. Can we please have another look at this in a new unit of time please?
I have enabled the protection in the page
Hi, please check the following documentation how to apply content protection to make sure you have followed the steps correctly. The following documentation how to use category protection is also important.
If the above does not help, please check the following documentation.
Let me know how you go.
