Tony
ParticipantI’m finding that despite setting protection, I am still able to directly visit the url of a product which should be hidden. No apparent theme or plugin conflicts.

ModeratorDid you apply protection to that page, per these instructions?

ParticipantThese are the steps I have taken:
- Created a membership level
- Applied general protection to categories
- Applied general protection to custom posts (products)
- If I edit the product, I see the widget added by the plugin suggests it is protected (see below)
- I visit the url in a browser where I am not logged in
- I see the product entirely unprotected

ParticipantI have just seen the link about Custom post types needing an extra add-on…so will look at that..

ParticipantI can confirm this doesn’t work either. Even if I manually set the protection on the product/custom post using the section added in to the page/ post by the plug-in, it fails. I have confirmed this in the following way:
- Visit protected PAGE – see log in prompt and site header only
- Visit protected CUSTOM POST – view post contents without issues
So clearly it’s set up correctly – it works for pages, but not custom posts, even with the custom posts add-on.
Edit: I’ve also tried using category protection – again it shows in the page that the protection has been applied, but it hasn’t.

ModeratorHi Tony, does it work with a standard post? Have you tested this?
Kind regards

ParticipantHi.
There aren’t any standard posts in the site, and I haven’t tested them.

Moderator@Tony, simply duplicate one of the existing posts, but assign the duplicate as “Uncategorized” and then apply the appropriate protections. Then see if directly accessing the page shows you the content or not.
