When I set up the plugin earlier this year on the site http://www.anderson22class.co.uk/ most of the members had already paid for the year by cheque and the owner had problems with his Paypal account.

This has now been fixed and he has asked me to create a Paypal payment gateway but all is not going smoothly. I’ve created the gateway as described in the plugin documentation but can’t work out how to integrate it with what I have already.

Perhaps you could look at the site as it is – go to here – http://www.anderson22class.co.uk/membership-join/

This would currently take the would be member directly to the registration page.

Where do I add my payment gateway code?

Hi can you provide more information in regards to the following comment.

In your documentation, you advocate creating the gateway from within the plugin.

    In this item here

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/create-paypal-buy-now-button-inside-the-simple-membership-plugin/

But having done so, I now have to replace all or part of the existing ‘Join Us’ page

    http://www.anderson22class.co.uk/membership-join/

and I can’t work out what I have to do, to replace the current free registration link with a payment button.

Obviously I need to go into the HTML view of the existing page and take out a chunk of code and replace it with something else – but which lines and what am I putting in its place?

Hi thank you for explaining what you mean. All you have to do is add the shortcode for the paid membership level button. For example in the Join Us page there is already a free membership level shortcode added which displays the registration form. Then what you would do further down the page is add some information about paid menbership etc etc with the PayPal button shortcode.

You might like to read the following documentation about the Join Us page if you haven’t already read it.

Let me know if you understand what I mean.

    Kind regards
