ParticipantI have a website with 4 subdomains: 2 in English and 2 in Spanish so I need the plugin to show in each language. I know it´s already available in Spanish, but I don´t know how to set it.
The Admin page for the Spanish subdomain is in Spanish, but the plugin is in English in the front end. I saw I can change the email messages, but I cannot change the forms.
Is it possible to have it in different languages according to the subdomain language?
Thanks

ModeratorHi, are you currently using the Form Builder addon?
January 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm #9679analialark
ParticipantHello, no I´m not using the add on because I had purchased another form maker before I found this plugin for membership. I´m very new to this so I wasn´t familiar with what I needed until I started reading several forums.

ModeratorHi, can you do a check for me. Can you see if there are any Spanish language files inside the language folder?

ParticipantHi, thanks for helping 🙂 I checked wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/languages/ and there are several files. I thought the swpm-ca_ES.po would be Spanish but I opened it and it is definitely not. I didn´t open all the others, but no abbreviation looks like it could be. Do you know if it should be ES or if it is something else? Otherwise, I´ll open the others one by one. Or, could I edit this ES with the proper translation?

ModeratorHi, swpm-ca_ES.po is Catalan. So that means there are no Spanish language files in the language folder. This is good news. The plugin is meant to pull the Spanish language from WordPress. There must be something else blocking your Spanish translation in your site.

ParticipantShould I disable all other plugins to see if it works?

ModeratorHi, yes give that a try.
Thank you

ParticipantHi, I deactivated all plugins, including SM, removed the widgets and then activated SM only for the subdomain instead of the whole network. I tried in the theme I had and also in Twentysixteen and it´s still showing in English.
It might be a very silly question, but I am adding the widget according to https://simple-membership-plugin.com/adding-member-login-widget-sidebar-site/ or do I have to use a different one?
ThanksJanuary 17, 2017 at 11:51 pm #9707mbrsolution
ModeratorHi adding the widget using those instructions is correct.
You might want to also check your wp-config.php file to see if there are any language entries added.

ModeratorHi, I have sent a message to the plugin developers to investigate further this issue.
Kind regards

ParticipantOK, thank you for your help!

ModeratorHi, please check the latest version. There is a Spanish file added but it is not yet completed. There was an issue in WordPress that caused the issue you experienced. That is why the developers had to add the Spanish po file again.
Let me know how you go.

ParticipantYeay! It works 🙂 The only thing that shows in English ont he front is Username or email. I tried to locate that in the .po file to change it but I couldn´t find it. The missing translation or mispellings on the back are not a problem for me. Thank you very very much for your help with this!! Have a great day 🙂
