ParticipantI have installed Simple Membership and followed all documentation prompts. For most of my users, it is working just fine – I have set up a Free Membership as well as a Monthly and an Annual Membership using PayPal.
However, I currently have several paid members who either cannot login at all OR once they are logged in are being denied access to protected content. My settings are such that both Monthly and Annual Memberships can access ALL content on parentingaces.com.
One user reported getting the following message when trying to click on protected content (he is an Annual Member with full access): “This content is not permitted for your membership level.”
Another user reported being asked to login repeatedly when trying to click on content even though the site shows her as logged in correctly.
Please advise.

ModeratorHi, what did you select for the following membership level field Access Duration (required) for those members receiving the error messages you mentioned above?
Another user reported being asked to login repeatedly when trying to click on content even though the site shows her as logged in correctly.
Do you have a cache plugin installed in your site? If you do, have you excluded the plugins form pages from being cached?
Regards

ParticipantFor Access Duration, I chose 365 days for the Annual Membership – that is the membership level where people are having these issues.
No, I do not have a cache plugin installed on the site. Is there one you recommend? And how do I set it up to allow Simple Membership Plugin to work properly?
Thank you for your help!

ModeratorHi,
For Access Duration, I chose 365 days for the Annual Membership – that is the membership level where people are having these issues.
Did this account expired for any of the members having an issue?
Regards

ParticipantNo, the memberships are brand new on our site, so no one has expired yet.

ModeratorHi, lets try something different.
See if can create a test account and assign the membership level that is causing problems to some members. Then log in to the page or post not displaying the content. Are you able to see the content?
Also please enable debug mode. Next time some reports this issue, check the log files and report any findings without revealing any private information.
Kind regards

ParticipantA Free Member just emailed me the following:
When I enter the password and attempt to login I get the following error message: “Password Empty or Invalid”
It seems everyone is having trouble logging in and viewing content now. Very frustrating!

ParticipantI have already tried all the troubleshooting to no avail. I do have 2 support tickets running for 2 different issues. This one has to do with registered members not being able to login and view content. The other one has to do with the fact that I can no longer see my Members in the Members tab in the plugin. Please advise.

ModeratorHi,
