ParticipantHello,
I’ve read through other related posts and see that I’m not the only one having an issue with membership registration. I’ve yet to find a solution so I hope that someone can help!
Payment goes through, email lands, link works, registration form does not.
Any ideas?
Thanks

ModeratorHi, is this related to free membership or paid membership?
If it is related to paid membership check the following documentation. If it is related to free membership, let me know.
Thank you

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for the response, however I have already followed these steps and still the registration form doesn’t work IPN is on and I have no firewall plugin.
This is for paid membership.
Is there anything else I should try?
Thanks,

ParticipantHello,
What is your registration problem?
On my site, about 50% of new members try to register, but the registration page just refreshes and nothing happens. It used to work with version 3.4.4 but my 3.4.9 install didn’t work.

ParticipantHello,
My problem is the same, the registration form just refreshes and does not register the account. I have upgraded and it still doesn’t work. I’ve read through a lot of support notes but nothing has solved this for me yet!
I hope to get a resolution soon!

ModeratorHi, are you using the Form Builder addon? Or do you have any other addon installed? Did you enabled Debug Mode? If you didn’t can you enable Debug Mode and next time some tries to register can you check the log file and report back.
Thank you

ParticipantHello,
No I do not have the Form Builder Addon. I’m only using the Simple Membership After Login Redirection.
Debug Mode is enabled. For registrations that don’t work, they don’t show up in the debug logs either. I just tested a purchase again to verify.
Only registrations that work, show up in the debug log.

Moderator@johnb123, can you carry out the following test.
Disable all of your other plugins including the redirect addon. Then carry out another paid registration. Make sure Debug Mode is enabled. Report back.
Thank you

ParticipantI think I found the bug for this registration form problem. It happens when the user tries to fill out the form and set their username. You need to tab through the fields so it validates available usernames AND the email. When the user just enters the username and jumps right to the password, the system doesn’t have enough time to validate the email and this is why it send you back to the registration again. I am not sure what the fix is here other than to disable email validation.

ParticipantHi filipvisnjic,
Thank you for this, you are quite right, the registration works when all fields are clicked into! I’ll just add a note to the email with the link to say that they must complete all fields manually, hopefully I shouldn’t get any further problems.
Thanks again for sharing.

Participant@Kyppsie, all fields are mandatory is fine as long as the email field is not filled out. Unfortunately it is and you can’t change it but the form still requires you to “tab” though it. I think the problem will persist even with the note about mandatory fields. I have just been doing it myself for the member having issues since it’s much easier than to explain via email 🙁

ParticipantHi filipvisnjic,
So as long as they tab into the email field, whether it was auto populated or not, it will work? I did a test and just completed all fields manually and it worked.
At least I know a way around it now, if anyone has problems they can email me and I’ll know what to do!

Participant@Kyppsie I this the email field is already pre-populated and can’t be changed. It is linked to the PayPal email address. But yes, as long as they tab through it and receive a little [https://www.dropbox.com/s/fguulm8uge1s96g/Screenshot%202017-08-02%2008.45.25.png], they should be good to go. If the green “available” message doesn’t popup on the email field, the registration will not go through.

ParticipantWas having this SAME issue and I figured the same way around it!
Do you guys know if there is anything in the coding that can change so that the person doesnt HAVE to tab through everything and just the necessary stuff gets filled out?
I may just try and put an explanation above the registration form even though I’ve already got one that talks about how the registration link will be most likely sent to spam.
