ParticipantThe site I am working on is reusefull.org.
My problem is when users sign up, the only membership level is not being attached to them……. so they are not able to view the site content/it’s not working properly for them. I don’t have it set to approve them, they should be automatically added. Only when I go into the WP dashboard to Members and then click Edit and then save their profile are they added to the membership level.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,

ModeratorHi Rachel, please check the following documentation https://simple-membership-plugin.com/membership-registration-process-overview/. These instructions show you the the registration process. This should help you with your issue. Let me know how you go.
Thank you

ParticipantHi there. I have reviewed that link many times.
There is only one membership level and it is free. As I said, when they click the activation link in their email, it’s not saving them in the one free membership level, but when I go in to edit their membership I can see it there and it’s activated when I click save. Even though I do not have the approve new members ticked.

ModeratorHi,
but when I go in to edit their membership I can see it there and it’s activated when I click save.
Are you saying that you see the member in the list but it is not active until you click on the save button?
Please also check the following documentation https://simple-membership-plugin.com/email-activation-for-members/. Let me know if this is what you have done to set up your free membership registration.
Thank you

KeymasterThis happens when the membership level field in the registration form is messed up somehow (usually due to the edits that has been done on this site). Are you suing the form builder addon by any chance? Some users try to rename or delete the membership level fields which causes this issue.
Or, are you trying to embed a registration form for a particular level and the “Level ID” has been entered incorrectly in the shortcode?

ParticipantHi there – I went back through the documentation on the formbuilder add-on, re-added a separate join us page and then fixed the shortcode on the custom registration page…….. regardless there is only one membership level on our site, which is the free one.
Here’s the shortcode on the page:

When a user signs up and activates their account via email, when i go in the back end and click on “edit” I see that they are signed up under that membership level, but until I click “save,” they are not able to access the protected parts of the site.

ParticipantI am also having this issue, where new users are not automatically assigned a membership level when a new member is added. This seems to be happening whether the user is added via a registration form, or via a bulk upload.
Did you event find a resolution to the problem?

ParticipantI am also having this problem – user submits a form on form builder, user gets added, user verifies registration, receives a mailchimp auto email – but the user is added in membership – but doesn’t have a member level until I manually save the user. Did anyone get a resolution to this please?
