Hi,
I had a bunch of members to enter in the new website and to save time I entered them with SQL directly in the SQL database. All went well and we can see the members in Simple membership. They are not WP users though.
After 2-3 days, all these members are gone from the database. The members were set as Pending but it was not a month. I have uncheck the option to delete pending members after a month now, just in case.
Any idea about this issue? Should I add the members also as WP users in the SQL database to solve the issue?
thanks,
Serge
Ask your hosting provider if they are using database cache and somehow the database is reverting to an older cached version or there was a restore of the DB to an older restore point. Only your hosting provider will be able to look at the server’s internal logs and be able to offer insight in terms of what happened with those records that you manually inserted into the database.
If you want to import some members, we recommend using the following option which will import the members in a way that will be ready to be used with our plugin:

Hi,
no loss of members today. It is possible that incidents occurring previously caused the loss of members if the database was reinstated. I’ll keep it posted here if I get a loss of members without noticeable incident.
Now that I know how to use SQL, I find it better than the bulk import plugin.
thanks,
Serge
