I have a requirement for 3 scenarios of payments, due to some non-tech-savvy end users:
– Payment by paypal on the site
– Payment obtained via paypal but not through the site
– Payment by cash/cheque
The plugin obviously works well for the first scenario, but would it be possible to also enable the possibility of the admin entering manual payments?
Hi,
– Payment by paypal on the site
– Payment obtained via paypal but not through the site
– Payment by cash/cheque
The first payment method is already implemented by the plugin. In regards to the second method, can you provide an example of what you mean. In regards to the third method, are you wanting the members to pay by cheque or cash when they register to become members?
but would it be possible to also enable the possibility of the admin entering manual payments?
Are you referring to the admin creating a membership account manually and paying for it? Or can you provide an example of what you are trying to achieve?
Thank you
SWPM does not support “manual” payments, initiated by the user.
The role of SWPM is to track memberships, not membership payments. That is the “job” of the payment processor (PayPal, et al). In the case of payments received by cash, check or “non-automated” means, you would manually create the membership. When it comes time for the manually entered membership to expire, the member would receive the same reminders and expiration messages, as if the membership was paid for using the automated payment methods.
